- StarCraft and StarCraft: BroodWar no longer require the CD while playing the
game. To play without the CD, please follow the following instructions:

- Windows Users:
- Make sure you have “Hide extensions for known types” unchecked under
Explorer Folder Options.
- If you own only StarCraft, copy “INSTALL.EXE” from the StarCraft CD to
your StarCraft folder and rename it to “StarCraft.mpq”.
- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy “INSTALL.EXE” from the StarCraft:
Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to “BroodWar.mpq”.

- Mac users:
- If you own only StarCraft, copy “StarCraft Archive” from the StarCraft CD
to your StarCraft folder.
- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy “Brood War Archive” from the
StarCraft: Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder.

- Fixed a bug where the map download progress was not shown.
- Pressing alt-f4 while in Starcraft and logged into a league now logs you out of the league.
- Updated some of the localization for the league page.

Icefrog lanzo una nueva versión oficial de DotA Allstars, DotA Allstars 6.49c, con las siguientes modificaciones…

DotA que son las iniciales de Defense of the Ancients, es una modificación del juego Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne.
DotA Allstars es un excelente juego de estrategia en donde podrás escoger Tu héroe (entre los más de 70 que existen) y armar tu ejército con el fin de destruir la reliquia o ancestro del oponente, para así lograr la victoria…

Para los seguidores de películas animadas, a mediados del año se estrenará “Kung Fu Panda”, una comedia animada producida por “Dreamworks Animation”, el respetado estudio de animación conocido por sus trabajos en Shrek, Shark Tale, Madagascar y Bee Movie.

Esta nueva producción tiene como personaje principal a “Po”, un oso panda aficionado a las artes marciales, que buscará convertirse en un respetado maestro de “Kung Fu“.

El elenco que presta sus voces para darle “vida” a los personajes animados esta conformado por Jack Black (Po), Dustin Hoffman (Shifu), Angelina Jolie (Tigresa), Jackie Chan (Mono), Lucy Liu (Víbora), David Cross (Grulla), Seth Rogen (Mantis) y Ian McShane (Tai Lung), entre otros actores. La dirección estará a cargo de Mark Osborne y John Stevenson…

Sinopsis:

Entusiasta, grandullón y un poco torpe, “Po” es el mayor aficionado al Kung Fu de los alrededores… lo cual no es exactamente muy practico en su trabajo en el restaurante de su familia.

Elegido inesperadamente para cumplir una vieja profecía, el sueño de “Po” se hace realidad cuando se une al mundo del Kung Fu y empieza aprender junto a sus ídolos, los legendarios luchadores “Tigresa”, “Grulla”, “Mantis”, “Víbora” y “Mono”, bajo la dirección de su entrenador e instructor, el maestro “Shifu”.
Pero, cuando menos se lo esperan, “Tai Lung”, el vengativo y traicionero leopardo de las nieves, se dispone a atacarlos y sobre “Po” recae la tarea de defender a todos de la inminente amenaza. ¿Logrará hacer realidad sus sueños de convertirse en maestro de Kung Fu?. “Po” pone todo su corazón, y su perímetro, en la misión. Finalmente, nuestro insólito héroe descubre que en su mayor debilidad residía su mayor fortaleza…

Para los que no tuvieron la oportunidad de ver “Shrek the halls”, esta es la versión doblada al “español latino”, con los actores mexicanos Alfonso Obregón (Shrek), Dulce Guerrero (Princesa Fiona) y Eugenio Derbez (Burro), también cuenta con la participación de Antonio Banderas (el gato con Botas).

Brevemente, para los que no están enterados… “Shrek the Halls” fue una producción especial por fiestas navideñas que se presento a través del canal estadounidense ABC el 28 de noviembre de 2007. El especial de 21 minutos de duración fue creado por DreamWorks Animation que en su versión original (Ingles) contó con la participación de los actores principales de la película, entre ellos Mike Myers (Shrek), Eddie Murphy (Burro/Asno), Cameron Diaz (Princesa Fiona), Antonio Banderas (Gato con Botas) y Conrad Vernon (El hombre de Jengibre).

Tras el éxito televisivo en los Estados Unidos, “el corto” fue transmitido en diferentes países durante las vísperas navideñas. En Latinoamérica llegó bajo el titulo de “Shrek Ogrorisa la Navidad“, así como en España titulado “Shreketefeliz Navidad“.

En Youtube también pueden encontrar la versión en “español – España”: (Parte 1, Parte 2), y en Ingles con subtítulos en español (Parte 1, Parte 2, Parte 3) <- Este ultimo vale la pena verlo.
